2 months

My my, the time does fly! We went for Joseph's 2 month checkup today. He came in at 11 lbs 13 oz and 23.5 inches tall. He seems to be a happy healthy growing boy! He got 3 shots and an oral vaccine today, too, which he was not happy about at all. His poor little face turned bright red as real tears came springing to his eyes and we worked into the silent scream. He calmed down pretty quickly, though, and has been resting most of the day since then.

In other news, we've been so lucky lately to be able to catch up with some dear friends across the country. My college roommate, Susan, came up to visit us from North Carolina for a few days a couple of weeks ago. And, our friends the Winans (and their 2 beautiful girls) made a quick trip to NH last weekend from IL, and we got to have lunch with them. It was so wonderful to see everyone and it always makes me glad to know that we can still catch up and have a great time with people that we care about.

And, I'm starting a night class this week (teaching it), so I'm kind of excited about that. Matt is a little nervous because he'll be on bedtime detail, but I know that they can get it taken care of. I'll be teaching a Physical Science class, which I've never taught, so this will be fun!

Baby calling...pictures will come soon :)

So, I've finally uploaded some pictures. Joseph is 6 weeks old now and changing everyday. He is truly a wonder and I am loving watching him grow and learn. Although I miss school, there is nothing that I would rather be doing these days than be with my little guy!

This is my dad with Joseph on a Sunday before Christmas. He's sporting his baby Bears wear--gotta support the team!

Matt, Staley, and Joseph on Christmas Eve before we went to Jackie's family's house. My two favorite guys in the whole world.

Joseph at one month with Mona the cow--a Christmas present from my folks.

Joseph today looking like he's almost smiling. We're getting there!
